SR-9009 (Stenobolic)

SR9009 is commonly referred to as a SARM (selective androgen receptor modulator) due to its classification, even though it works as a REV-ERB agonist.

REV-ERB is a protein found primarily in adipose tissue, liver, muscle, and the brain. It plays a role in regulating the circadian rhythm, also known as the “biological clock,” of these tissues. The circadian rhythm comprises a series of patterns that occur in our bodies throughout the day.

The development of SR9009 aimed to address sarcopenia, which is the age-related deterioration of skeletal muscles in the body.

An animal study showed that stenobolic not only increased muscle mass and strength, but also influenced circadian rhythm, sparking interest among scientists.

In animal studies, SR9009 has shown additional benefits, including improved endurance in mice, as well as reductions in anxiety, inflammation, and cholesterol levels. Mice administered stenobolin demonstrated improved running ability and increased concentration.
