Methyldrostanolone, also known as methasterone or Superdrol, is a widely recognized and popular substance among strength athletes and bodybuilders. It is a powerful oral steroid that is not approved for medical use, but is widely used in bodybuilding and other sports.

Structurally, it closely resembles drostanolone, but has an additional C-17 alpha-methyl group, allowing for widespread oral availability. Despite the C-17 alpha-alkylation modification, this steroid does not undergo significant changes in its properties.

Like its parent molecule, drostanolone, methyldrostanolone does not aromatize, resulting in no difference in estrogenic effects between the two steroids. If the dose or duration of treatment exceeds these guidelines, regular monitoring for liver toxicity is necessary.
